Looking for fellowship, fun and flexible volunteer/service opportunities in the Greater Fort Smith Region? Come join us.

ABOUT US

Women in Action, (also known as the Women's Auxiliary), works as a fundraising and volunteer service group that seeks to support The Salvation Army in its mission of spiritual redemption and social rehabilitation of those it serves.

Women in Action provides an opportunity for women to meet together, contribute their skills and resources, develop and enjoy relationships, all in an effort to better our greater Fort Smith region & community, and the world around us.

Membership is open to all women in the community who want to make a difference with their time and resources. The $25 annual membership fee helps support the local initiatives for the Salvation Army, and are concentrated on fulfilling services and needs for at-risk children.

WOMEN IN ACTION IS COMPRISED OF WOMEN WITH HEARTS FOR SERVICE

"When I have food, help me to remember the hungry; When I have a home, think of those who are homeless; When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer. Remind me to be thankful for all of the blessings that we have."

Volunteer Opportunities

There are two main needs throughout the year where we could use volunteer help: The Red Shield Diner & The Thrift Stores. Throughout the year, we will have more opportunities to help send youth to summer camps, develop an annual fundraising event, donate toward canned food drives, and much more. Check back often for more opportunities.
