Looking for fellowship, fun and flexible volunteer/service opportunities in the Greater Fort Smith Region? Come join us.

Women in Action, (also known as the Women's Auxiliary), works as a fundraising and volunteer service group that seeks to support The Salvation Army in its mission of spiritual redemption and social rehabilitation of those it serves.

Women in Action provides an opportunity for women to meet together, contribute their skills and resources, develop and enjoy relationships, all in an effort to better our greater Fort Smith region & community, and the world around us.

Membership is open to all women in the community who want to make a difference with their time and resources. The $25 annual membership fee helps support the local initiatives for the Salvation Army, and are concentrated on fulfilling services and needs for at-risk children.

"When I have food, help me to remember the hungry; When I have a home, think of those who are homeless; When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer. Remind me to be thankful for all of the blessings that we have."

Volunteer Opportunities

Right now we have an urgent need to help with the upcoming holiday activities including the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, Angel Tree, Christmas Food Boxes, Bell Ringing, and more. Throughout the year, we will have more opportunities to help send youth to summer camps, develop an annual fundraising event and much more.
