Salvation Army joins River Valley Kickstart to help families going back to school

On Saturday, Aug.10, The Salvation Army joined in the River Valley Kickstart back-to-school event in Alma, AR. Captain, Jonathan Gainey, and Volunteer Coordinator, Susan Adams, along with volunteers Kellie & Starlie-Belle Hopkins, passed resource flyers and Family Store coupons and treats to the families that attended the event.

Roughly 5,000 people attended the River Valley Kickstart event where families received, shoes, socks, backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, dental checkups, eye screenings , health screenings and lots of goodies and information on services in the area.
