Record Fan Drive Donations Allow Community Residents to Beat the Heat

It's been another record-breaking year for The Salvation Army Fan Drive. Last year was our first time to have over 500 fans donated and this year we had over 600 fans donated.

OG&E always helps to kick off the program in June by donating 100 fans. Yeagers Ace Hardware teamed up with Life 98.7 for a fan drive, and then Yeagers added a "round up your change" program this year to bring in even more donations. Their combined donate and round-up program brought in 305 fans.

Lowe's Home Improvement and Spirit 106 teamed up again this year for another fan drive bringing in another 199 fans! Individuals have brought in additional fans to our 301 N. 6th office.

We still have several fans available for those in need. If you are in need of a fan, please visit The Salvation Army office at 301 North 6th Street, Fort Smith AR during business hours (9am-4pm Mon-Thur and 9am-noon Fri) or contact Becky Gentry, Social Service Director at 479-783-6145, Becky_Gentry@uss.salvationarmy.org. We can give away one fan per address and a person is eligible for a fan once every two years.

Please bring a photo ID, proof of all members of their household and current proof of address. The proof must be dated within the last 30 days.
