It's Time to Choose Your Angels

You should be noticing the Angel Trees around the River Valley. They are at Central Mall, eight Arvest Bank locations, two Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets, and various other businesses across the greater Fort Smith region. There are over 1,200 angels we need to supply clothing and toys for this Christmas season and we so appreciate everyone who helps fulfill these Christmas needs and wishes.

SHOP FOR THE FORGOTTEN ANGELS

If you haven't stopped to pick up an angel, there are other ways you can help. There are always those "forgotten" angels--those who were chosen but for whatever reason, gifts are not returned or they are only returned with one small item. Take advantage of retail sales (especially around Black Friday and Cyber Monday) and pick up lots of pajamas, shoes, jeans, shirts, and toys to donate directly (older child sizes & gifts are usually the most needed). Volunteers will help us go back through and make sure EVERY child is provided with clothing and toys this Christmas.

DROP OFF LOCATION & DATES:

You can drop off your Angel Tree gifts and donations at our main office located at 301 N. 6th Street in downtown Fort Smith. Our drop-off hours are M-F 11a-6p but we will be open some Saturdays. Feel free to give us a call at 479-783-6145 x212 to check. The deadline to drop off gifts is Dec. 12.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

From Dec. 13-Dec. 23 we will need volunteers to help us organize all the donations and get them ready for distribution to families. Please call us at 479-783-6145 to schedule a time to volunteer. Church groups, civic groups, families, and individuals are all welcome to help. It will be a memorable and meaningful time to serve your community.
